Tree felling

We provide two options for tree felling. The first, directional felling, is what most people imagine when we say 'felling'. This involves cutting a wedge from the tree near the base allowing it to fall. If this isn't possible, the tree can be sectionally dismantled one piece at a time.

Deadwood Removal

Dead or decaying limbs of a tree can be unsightly and dangerous. Responsibility lies with the landowner to keep their trees in healthy and safe condition. Removing dead limbs is a service we provide to ensure landowners can uphold their duty of care to the public.

Crown reductions

Crown reductions are the more natural way of simply reducing the size of a tree. This generally means removing a uniform amount all around the spread of the tree, to basically make it smaller, whilst retaining the basic shape and structure. This is an action you might take if a tree begins to look a bit untidy.

Crown uplifting

Crown uplifting is where lower branches are removed from the tree giving the effect of the tree being 'lifted up' and tidied in the process. A common problem particularly in residential areas can be when lower branches begin to come into contact with buildings. Crown uplifting is one possible solution.

Crown thinning

Crown thinning involves the selective removal of inner branches evenly throughout a tree's crown. This is an effective method of allowing light to travel through the crown and allows air to circulate more effectively throughout the canopy without altering the tree's natural shape.

Stump grinding/removal

It might not always be convenient to remove a tree stump at the time of the felling. It may be that you've moved into a new home or property and there's an unsightly stump in that nice green lawn? Properly grinding and removing the stump is the way forward - it's like the tree was never there.
